2024 DrinkMaryland: Centreville - A Maryland Makers Event: Saturday, June 15, noon to 5 p.m.
Now in its seventh year, the event will be held on Saturday, June 15 from noon to 5 p.m. in downtown Centreville on Maryland’s Eastern Shore on Route 213, a 30-minute drive from the Bay Bridge.

About 2/3 of our attendees attend the event for free and partake in the live entertainment, delicious food and diverse selection of artisan merchandise.
The event is produced by event partners MWA and the Town of Centreville and is executed by a group Centreville Main Street volunteers and MWA staff and volunteers. DrinkMaryland: Centreville has a proven track record of drawing 1,500 to 1,800 attendees from seven different states in addition to Maryland and Washington, DC. Although the event was designed to attract visitors it’s also quite popular with area locals. The event is free, but we offer tasting pass tickets to those who wish to taste or buy wine, beer or distilled drinks by the glass or purchase a bottle to take home.

History
A group of about 24 volunteers gathered in 2016 to create a new signature event to attract visitors to Centreville to follow up on a recommendation from the 2014 Main Street Market Study. After discussing several different event themes and formats, the group rallied around the idea of hosting a Maryland Makers festival, celebrating Maryland’s artisans and producers.
The event concept came to fruition in 2017 when the Centreville Main Street manager the Maryland Wineries Association (MWA) to partner with us. MWA was already producing a branded event called DrinkMaryland in North Beach. Since then each June on the day before Father’s Day, the Town of Centreville under the leadership of the Main Street program and MWA come together to produce DrinkMaryland: Centreville - A Maryland Makers Event with a shared commitment to celebrating Maryland’s craft beverage makers, artisans, and entertainers.
