Beginning Fiscal Year 2024, a 5% increase on water rates and sewer rates shall be implemented and take effect at the beginning of the first quarter billing which includes any days prior to the end of the fiscal year in the month of June each year and each year thereafter unless amended by the Town Council of Centreville. The Council may amend the rate of increase in the ordinance that it passes when adopting the annual budget for the Town.

Causes for Increased Utility Bills:
- Leaking toilets
- Leaking faucets
- Leaking pipes
- Outdoor sprinkler systems/watering the lawn and garden
- Pools
Trash/Recycle/Yard Waste Fees
The Centreville Town Council voted to increase the trash removal (landfill) fee from to $48.50 per quarter to cover the increase the Town incurred from the trash contractor and yard waste removal contractor. Beginning Fiscal Year 2023, a 3% rate increase will be implemented every year thereafter unless amended by the Town Council by resolution. The Council may also amend the rate of increase in the ordinance it passes to adopt the budget for the Town.
Yard Waste Removal
Yard waste is collected by Downes Lawn Service. Yard waste pick-up will begin for the year on March 18, 2024 and will end on December 16, 2024.
