History
Launched by Centreville Main Street on December 5th, 2020, ShopCentrevilleMD Community eGift Cards provide an easy and convenient way for customers to support local businesses. The EGift Cards can be purchased all year long for that family or friend who is particularly hard to buy for or to acknowledge employees, teachers, and clients.
The eGift cards can be purchased in any denomination between $5 and $250 and can be purchased individually or can be bulk-ordered with applicable discounts. Each card can be used at any of the 31 Centreville participating business. Additional businesses are joining daily.

- You can schedule them so they deliver on a specific day.

Each eGift Card is a unique MasterCard number. You can send them directly to the recipient’s cell phone or email address or print it out for them. When they visit a participating merchant, they simply show the account number to the merchant who completes the purchase as a “card not present” transaction. If your total transaction is more than the balance on the card, the merchant will do a split transaction, using the balance on the eGift Card first. Then the customer pays the difference.
